Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in Katy, Texas on April 25 the year 1969. Her mother Kjellfrid (Andreassen) is an ex-nurse and midwife born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), and also has Swedish as well as Norwegian descent. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is an engineer from Switzerland. They were married in 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is a marketing executive who was born on February 15, 1967. Renee began her interest in acting in high school when she was working in the drama club. In Austin she also took an acting class and started to explore acting as a profession. After graduating, she wanted to keep acting, however Hollywood is a difficult city to get into, so Renee decided to stay in Texas and attempted to audition for roles in Houston, where she managed to get roles in movies such as Reality Bites (1994) and Empire Records (1995). Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer that she met filming Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee observed him on a project that interested her. She auditioned , and was offered the role in Love and A.45 (1994). The film brought her critical acclaim and a decision to move to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough came from another film role in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about actresses like Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder), and Marisa Tomei. He was able to see Zellweger's performance from The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was convinced the actress was his Dorothy Boyd. Renee continued to be a huge success by releasing small independent films. Her films received even more praise from critics, and was sure that she was ready to make a return to large-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep co-starred in One True Thing (1998). She also took a role in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) in which she starred alongside Jim Carrey, and soon after that, she started dating Jim Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
